2016 Willamette Valley Chardonnay
910 cases produced
unfined and unfiltered
$75 (sold out)
label - big table farm honeycomb
Sourced from the same Willamette Valley vineyards as 2015, with two new ones in the mix - Kindred, in the Eola-Amity Hills and Arlyn, in the Chehalem Mountains. Barrel fermented in French oak (about 10% new) with yeast that blew in the door, and bottled after 11 months of aging. We think this wine will steal your heart, it has a special place in ours.
tasting notes -
This wine’s aromatics offer up pear, beeswax, pineapple, clove and cinnamon. The nectar-like fruit concentration and a persistent white floral note show off the perfectly developed golden grapes. The acid is fine and complex without any hard edges giving this wine tension to help you appreciate it’s luxury.

label - big table farm honey bee
Sourced from the same 6 Willamette valley vineyards as 2014, barrel fermented in French oak (about 10% new) with yeast that blew in the door. We bottled after 11 months of aging without filtration or fining. We think this wine will steal your heart, it has a special place in ours.
tasting notes-
Serious smoky mineral aroma with a savory lees balancing the fruit. There is a butter cream and lemon custard aroma blending in with the subtle suggestion of sandalwood and cinnamon spice that suggests the palate will feel rich and broad. On the palate the weight and flavors are indeed rich but there is great acid tension and tannic grip to the finish that holds everything tight creating a dry, fresh, and mouthwatering finish.

label - big table farm bee hives
Barrel fermented in mixed age French oak, producing a pale clear lemon color.
The aromas of this wine have a wonderful freshness and lift and give lots of apple and pear fruit along with a hit of flint which is balanced by a custard richness. The acidity is prominent without being pronounced and leaves the finish dry, focused, and mouth watering. unfined and unfiltered

label - big table farm honey bee
Barrel fermented in mixed age French oak producing a medium clear lemon color. This wine has a luminescent, straw color with a subtle sheen. Meyer lemon, white nectarine, baking spice, and salt water taffy on the nose. The palette offers up warm oak spice, sandalwood, and stone fruit.
With a lemon-butter-cream texture, this wine is lush yet still very bright and fresh. Lively acidity, with a custard type of roundness/richness, and the warm oak spice follows through on the pallet. Delicious balance between richness and freshness.
As with all our whites, this wine will reward you for cellaring.

Having worked with chardonnay extensively at Neyers Vineyards and Marcassin, Brian is excited to finally be able to offer our own. 60% of the fruit comes from the Bieze vineyard, which shares a fence line with the eponymous seven springs vineyard. The balance of the blend comes from the Wirtz vineyard which dates back to the early 70's.
Barrel fermented in mixed aged French oak (no new oak) to produce a lively wine with a voluminous bouquet of flint, cereal grain, vanilla, lemon and green pear. The palate of this wine is rich with cider apples, bees wax, nougat, yeast and yet the perfectly balanced acids will carry this wine into the future.
